We switch to Ottery in the New Year until the Spring Half-term school holiday. Our teams regularly take part in local tournaments through the season. Sessions are led by our amazing coach, John Shaw ex-GB and England international, supported by our able team of coaches and volunteer assistants. Exciting times! Why not join us!!!!
Our October Half-term camp was attended by 21 boys and girls aged 7-15. Coaching was delivered by our brilliant "home" team - John Shaw and Jack Ellison. Monty Slack kindly volunteered his time to assist on the day.
Whilst parents may wish to provide face masks for their child for penalty corners, we are really pleased to advise that the club has received a very generous grant from the Keith Owen Fund to allow the Club to provide masks for our junior teams. We will therefore be shortly updating our player safety guidance to take account of this. A BIG "thank you" to the Sid Vale Association for making this possible.
Club Junior Shirts are now available for local collection from our Club Shop at Honiton Sports. There are different collar styles for boys (round neck) and girls (V neck with collar). They are identical to the Club's men's and ladies' shirts, respectively - just a tad smaller! The shop holds a selection of junior and senior sizes and can order, as necessary. Choice of number is possible within a range approved by the Club.
Hockey is a brilliant sport for young players. You will have seen it at the recent 2024 Paris Olympics. It's a very fast moving, highly skillful team game played by boys and girls. Why not join us and have fun playing hockey?
We have boys' and girls' teams for all ages. Players are coached by John Shaw, our ex-GB & Olympian lead coach and his team of experienced coaches and coaching assistants.
You can find out when and where we play here, and more information about Junior Academy sessions here.
We are really pleased to announce today that England Hockey has confirmed the renewal of our Clubmark accreditation through to 2026. This means that the club is one of a select number of clubs who hold the highest standards for player safeguarding, leadership and management of the way we love to play.
