Great news; this week SIS started, and has almost completed, laying down the black shock pad ahead of the artificial turf arriving in the next few weeks. The ingredients for the pad, rubber crumb and a liquid solvent, are mixed on site and laid down by a special machine. As you can see from the photos it’s nearly complete. Exciting!!!!!
On top of all this, three big recesses have been completed along the sides of the pitch to take all unused playing equipment. This will mean that you won’t have to take evasive action to avoid the five-a-side goals during matches.
Finally, the dug-outs are being refurbished and will feature the Club’s logo.
