The astro is finished and is available for the new season and for community hire now! This is what East Devon Council said about it.
What’s New
In short, the refurb has delivered the following improvements for hockey:
- a green Category 2 sand-dressed synthetic surface with a blue surround with new shock-pad beneath
- new drainage
- new protective boards and higher fencing along the whole of the sides facing the car park and MUGA and in-part behind the goals at the far end
- 3 big storage recesses for un-used hockey and 5-a-side football goals
- refurbished 11-a-side goals – new nets and generally spruced up
- re-furbished dug-outs with the Club logo on the car park side
- a new entrance step and mat
- brushes to remove mud and dirt from players’/spectators’ shoes before entering the pitch.
It is understood that the lights will be refurbished separately.
