For youngsters wanting to learn more about the umpiring side of hockey.
England Hockey currently offers plenty of Online Umpiring Courses, including a few Introduction to Umpiring Courses, ideal as a relatively informal entry-level introduction for juniors, and costing just £10. Attendees must be at least 12 years old and can download an England Hockey Certificate on completion of the course.
For full details about registration for a course, please go to the relevant England Hockey page. You will need to create an England Hockey online account (click on “register” in the options bar near the top of the page) entering your email address and a password – that’s the really easy bit!
For a full list of dates available, please refer to the England Hockey page above (it’s updated frequently). Times of the courses vary (morning, afternoon or evening) and they last only 90 minutes. The next available course will be on Sunday 9th May 2021 (10am to 11:30am).
