Win Free Women’s World Cup Tickets! (oh, and attend SOHC AGM)
So, ladies and gentlemen, following our experience last season where we barely scraped enough people to have an AGM, we are resorting to out and out bribery to try and get enough folk to come along to the meeting.
The meeting is on Monday 21st May 2018, Kingswood & Devoran Hotel, The Esplanade, Sidmouth EX10 8AX 7pm for 7.30pm start (prompt).
Now here are the respective incentives:
WIN WOMEN’S HOCKEY WORLD CUP TICKETS x 2 (LONDON)
Includes two West Stand seats for two Pool games on SAT 21st JULY 2018, session starting at 1200: GERMANY vs SOUTH AFRICA and ENGLAND vs INDIA – gates open about 1030. Each AGM attendee (who is a member) will be able to have one FREE raffle ticket, U18s will have to get permission from parents/guardians to enter. (see Full Conditions below).
For the two Division Winning Teams – Mens’ 1sts and 5ths. Come along and collect your winner’s medals.
Club award winners can also pick up their awards.
Finally there is a BAR. Sturdy had offered to buy everyone who turns up drink, but I don’t think we’ll hold her to that 😉
The agenda for this meeting and the minutes from the last AGM are attached. Conditions applying to the Raffle and the use of prize WWC tickets.
Eligibility for the Raffle.
One free raffle ticket is available for each fully paid-up Club member (2017-18) attending the Club AGM on 21st May, the raffle ticket to be collected in person at the start of the AGM (by 7:45pm at the latest) and the winner to be present when the draw takes place at the close of AGM business. As back-up, the draw will include a 1st reserve winner and 2nd reserve winner.
Members under the age of 18 require permission from pa arent or guardian to take part in
the raffle. Can be verbal permission, but remember if you win, we will check!
The winner of the draw, plus 1st reserve & 2nd reserve, to supply email contact addresses to Karen Dutton.
Restrictions on the use of the WWC tickets.
The winner cannot sell or pass on the WWC tickets – in that event, the tickets would be rendered invalid.
The tickets will be with Karen Dutton 2-3 weeks before the event; arrangements will then be made to get the tickets safely to the winner. If, at that stage (or later), the winner is unable to make use of the tickets, they will be offered to the 1st reserve, then the 2nd reserve. If the tickets cannot be used by the winner, the 1st reserve or 2nd reserve, they will be offered to a Club member of Karen Dutton’s choosing, provided he/she attended the AGM.
