A Change to Attendance at Rustys

To all members (Adult and Junior):

The purpose of this note is to advise of necessary changes we are having to make to the attendance of junior members at Rustys on Sunday AMs with effect from tomorrow (Sun 5^th Nov 2023).

Rustys is aimed at giving adults, who don’t want to play competitive 11 a-side league hockey, the opportunity to play small sided recreational hockey with like-minded players.  It’s open to members, men and women, to turn up and play on Sunday mornings from 10-11am.

Since we’ve returned after Covid an increasing number of junior players have attended Rustys to make up numbers which in turn has helped to keep the sessions viable.

With the growing popularity of Rustys and amazing opportunity our juniors now have to be coached by our new ex-Olympian coach, John Shaw, on Sunday mornings, juniors will no longer be able to attend Rusty hockey sessions.  Instead, we invite our juniors to attend the Junior Academy to access top-quality coaching starting tomorrow, Sun 5^thNov 2023, for this half-term at Ottery Sports Centre – Boys’ 10-11am and Girls 11-12pm.

We hope this change will meet the needs of all members going forward.
