On the 4th Feb the Verde Recreo (Men’s) League was formally abandoned and, on 12th Feb, the Women’s League followed suit.
When we are able to restart hockey activities after 29th March, there are some options to be considered as to how we make best use of the short window that is likely to be available from 29th March through to the end of April.
UPDATE (22nd March): We can have use of the pitch at Ottery for training evenings on Tuesday & Wednesday 30th & 31st March plus Tuesday and Wednesday 6th & 7th April (with toilet and hand-washing facilities); probably also 13th/14th April and 20th/21st April. After 12th April, there will be two weekends (17th/18th and 24th/25th) over which some Saturday games and Sunday Junior Academy sessions are likely to return. All this is obviously still subject to government updates on the “road-map” out of lockdown. England Hockey guidelines are very similar to those which applied back in December last year.
